Why is Michael Q Todd Rotting in Jail?

Michael Q Todd, a homeless New Zealander has been arrested in Japan. He is described as having the mental capacity of a teenager, and yet has been denied both medical help and free legal advice.

Michael's story is a tragic one. Like many tragic stories, it involves dolphins. While working as a volunteer translator for Canadian filmmaker, Yadir Hakimo, he was arrested for not carrying a passport. He never even managed to meet a dolphin, let alone translate one.
